ESC


Full name of electronic governor, English electronic speed controller, referred to as ESC. The function of electric regulation is to receive the start, stop and brake signals to control the start, stop and brake of the motor; Receiving positive and negative signals to control the on-off of each power tube of the inverter bridge, so that the motor can generate continuous torque. Receive speed instructions and speed feedback signals, which are used to control and adjust the motor speed. In short, electric modulation is used to drive the motor.


The commercial electric modulation we usually use is controlled through the throttle channel on the receiver. The control signal from this receiver is generally a PPM pulse width control signal with an interval of 20mS, and the four-axis needs a shorter interval of control commands to improve the response speed-say, 5mS, so special electric modulation is needed instead of ordinary commercial electric modulation, but why use I2C bus to connect with the electric modulation? This has something to do with circuit design and software programming. I2C bus can be directly connected to the bus by multiple devices in hardware connection. It has a corresponding transmission mechanism to ensure smooth communication between the master and each slave, so the connection is more convenient, so the control lines of four electric switches can be connected to the main control board in parallel. This is also related to the chip we choose. Many single-chip computers have integrated I2C bus, and the software design is also handy.


Electric tuning can be divided into brush and brushless electric tuning. Brush electric modulation is the equipment used to control the speed of brush motor. There are usually only four wires in the brush electric adjustment, and two wires are input power terminals, which are connected to the positive and negative poles. The other two are the output terminals for controlling the motor speed, which are connected to the two electrodes of the motor. By changing the current/voltage and conduction direction, the speed and the positive and negative control can be realized.
