The drone industry has been red and purple recently, and purple is black. Every day, new UAV products appear on the Internet. These products are more and more rich in functions and more affordable. However, the title of "aerial toy" cannot be avoided. It's no wonder that the same four-rotor structure, with a camera and a fixed flight mode, can't fly for more than 20 minutes, and people have to hold the remote control stupidly, look at the transmitted images and fiddle with the joystick. "Aerial toy" is also worthy of the name.
However, as a functional robot, UAV's role depends on the positioning of the task. When 90% of people in the industry are positioning drones as "aerial cameras", naturally there will be no new tricks. But in fact, there are many tasks that drones can accomplish. Mr. Castle only shows a few UAV application fields that have been involved in this move.
1. Remote sensing
Popular interpretation of the word "Remote sensing" means (remote) remote sensing. Traditional remote sensing technology generally uses remote sensing instruments on satellites. Detection data include electromagnetic field, force field, mechanical wave and so on.
Using satellites for remote sensing is expensive, the accuracy is not easy to guarantee, the resources are limited (after all, satellites can not be used by anyone who wants to use them), the equipment is complex and the use is not flexible. However, the flying height of industrial UAV is controllable, the system can be built according to remote sensing tasks, the equipment can be changed flexibly at any time, and the cost is much lower than that of satellite remote sensing, while the accuracy of collected data can exceed that of satellite remote sensing in a lower cost range.
2. Security
Someone may laugh when I see this. It's still a camera. Mr. Castle can only say that the video or image data sent back by the camera and identified by the operator or security guard is only a way of security, but security is not the same as the camera.
